Many of these pieces are part of a series about summer dreams and winter realities. As a teacher, the summer always represents an ending and beginning. It is a time to let go, lose yourself, and refresh. There is something magical in all that entails. The start of the new year in January is always filled with hope and then blasted with reality. There is something about dreaming in the darkness. I am interested in the constant dichotomies we face daily and how we choose to respond.
